In Canada, ALL TURKEYS are raised WITHOUT added hormones, Scientific advancements such as selective breeding, better feed formulation and on-farm management practices that have improved animal welfare are responsible for larger, healthier turkeys raised today.

All animals (including people) and plants naturally produce hormones. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) that controls food labelling does not permit labelling food as “hormone-free” because such a label is untruthful. Turkey products in grocery stores that are labelled “raised without the use of added hormones” are no different from turkey products that do not carry this label.
