About Turkey Farmers of Saskatchewan

Turkey Farmers of Saskatchewan is a not-for-profit organization consisting of farmers who raise turkey for Canadian grocery stores. In Saskatchewan, our turkey farms vary in size, raising between 20,000 and 150,000 birds per farm. That’s about 800,000 turkeys grown in Saskatchewan per year – which translates into roughly 6 million kg of turkey meat!

Over 97% of Canadian farms – and Canadian turkey farms – are family owned. Family farms are often passed on from generation to generation, and so is farming knowledge and expertise.

We’re proud of what we do to grow safe, nutritious food. From our families to yours, we hope you enjoy our delicious – and nutritious – turkey products!

I’m a third generation turkey farmer. My grandfather started farming in 1945. I’m always learning. There’s always more to learn.
